For more than a century, this place has been shaped by people who put down roots and stayed: the Mennonite families who farmed here first, the workers who built Hershey’s plant in 1982, McKee Foods, and Target’s distribution center down the road.

The result is a community where seven out of ten households own their home and the median age sits near forty-six. People know their neighbors. They go to church together. Their kids go to school together. And when they’re looking for a dentist, they ask each other — not the internet.
