Replace one tooth

Single tooth implants — the most natural-feeling tooth replacement.

When you’ve lost a single tooth, an implant is almost always the best long-term replacement. It looks, feels, and functions like the tooth that’s missing — without affecting the healthy teeth around it.

A dental implant is a small titanium post placed into the jaw where a tooth root used to be. Once the bone heals and integrates with the post (a process that takes three to six months), we attach a custom crown on top. The result is indistinguishable from a natural tooth in everyday function.

The advantage over a bridge is significant. A bridge requires crowning the healthy teeth on either side of the gap, which means cutting away healthy tooth structure. An implant stands on its own — it preserves the neighboring teeth and the bone underneath, and it doesn’t require any flossing tricks (you brush and floss it like a regular tooth).

Dr. Weatherwax handles single-tooth implant cases start to finish, including the surgical placement and the final crown. Most general dental practices send these cases to specialists; we’ve invested in the training and equipment to keep them in-house. Same dentist for the planning, the placement, and the restoration.

Single-tooth implants have a success rate above 95% and routinely last 20+ years with normal care. Patients are usually surprised by how comfortable the procedure is, especially with sedation.
