Don’t live with the pain
A toothache that won’t quit needs a real diagnosis.
Toothaches are the body’s way of telling you something needs attention — usually a cavity, a crack, or an infection. Ignoring it almost never works.
Sharp pain when chewing, throbbing pain that wakes you at night, sensitivity to hot or cold that lingers for more than a few seconds — these are signs the inside of a tooth is involved. The treatment depends on what we find: sometimes a filling, sometimes a crown, sometimes a non-surgical root canal to save an infected tooth.
We hold same-day emergency slots during clinical hours specifically so Stuarts Draft patients aren’t driving to a hospital ER for tooth pain. Call us at 540-414-8423 and we’ll get you in as quickly as we can.
Until you can be seen: rinse with warm salt water, take ibuprofen if you can tolerate it, and avoid chewing on the painful side. If you have visible swelling on your face or neck, fever, or trouble swallowing, call right away — that’s urgent.
