Veneers are thin custom shells of porcelain bonded to the front of your teeth. They can change shape, color, alignment, or proportion — and when they’re done well, you can’t tell they’re there.
We start cosmetic cases with a real conversation. What bothers you about your smile? What would you actually want it to look like? Sometimes a single veneer is the right answer; sometimes four to eight veneers across the front teeth; sometimes whitening and bonding are enough on their own. We’ll show you options before we commit to anything.
The process usually takes two visits. At the first, we shape the front surface of the teeth (lightly — we preserve as much natural tooth as possible), take detailed scans, and place temporary veneers so you can try the new shape. The lab fabricates the permanent porcelain veneers in about two to three weeks; at the second visit, we bond them in place.
Properly placed porcelain veneers last ten to fifteen years or longer with good care. They resist staining better than natural enamel, look essentially identical to real teeth, and feel like your own teeth once you’ve had a few days to adjust.
