You have two paths. In-office whitening uses a stronger gel, applied carefully under a protected lip-and-gum barrier; one or two appointments are usually enough to lift your teeth several shades brighter. Take-home whitening uses custom trays we make for your teeth and a milder gel you apply yourself for an hour a day or overnight, over the course of a couple of weeks.

Both options use peroxide-based gels that are safe for tooth enamel when used as directed. The take-home option is gentler on sensitivity; the in-office option is faster. Plenty of patients combine the two: an in-office boost followed by take-home maintenance.

Whitening doesn’t change the color of crowns, veneers, or fillings, so we plan cosmetic work in the right order — whiten first, then match restorations to the new shade. Results last longer when you keep up with cleanings and avoid heavy staining habits.
