Stop the grinding
Custom nightguards to protect your teeth from grinding.
If you grind or clench your teeth at night, you’re wearing them down a little every single night. A custom nightguard breaks that cycle — saves your teeth, your fillings, and often your morning headaches.
Bruxism (the clinical term for grinding and clenching) usually happens during sleep, which makes it hard to notice until the damage shows up. Common signs: flat, worn front teeth; chipped enamel; sore jaw muscles in the morning; frequent tension headaches; teeth that feel sensitive to cold for no obvious reason.
A custom nightguard is a thin piece of hard acrylic, fitted to your upper teeth, that sits between your upper and lower teeth while you sleep. It absorbs the grinding force, protects your enamel, and lets your jaw muscles relax instead of working all night.
Custom guards are very different from drugstore ones. The fit is precise, the material is durable enough to last several years, and the thickness is calibrated for your bite. Most patients stop noticing the guard within a few nights and sleep better than they did before.
Bruxism doesn’t usually get better on its own — stress, sleep position, and bite issues all contribute and tend to be ongoing. The earlier we catch grinding and start protecting your teeth, the less restoration work you’ll need down the road.
