Care for kids
Gentle dental care from your child’s first tooth on.
Kids deserve a dentist with patience. We see children from their first tooth through high school graduation — cleanings, sealants, fluoride treatments, and the kind of friendly visits that make the next one easier.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a child’s first dental visit by age one, or within six months of the first tooth. Early visits aren’t about big procedures — they’re about getting your child comfortable in a dental chair so future appointments come easily.
For school-age kids, we focus on prevention: thorough cleanings, sealants on the deep grooves of permanent molars, and fluoride treatment for kids at higher cavity risk. We coach parents on what to watch for at home — brushing technique, flossing, snack habits — without lecturing.
If a cavity does show up, we treat it calmly, explain what we’re doing as we go, and never make a child feel embarrassed. Older kids sometimes do best with nitrous oxide, which keeps them relaxed without putting them to sleep.
Once orthodontic timing rolls around, we’ll give you an honest read on whether your teen needs braces or Invisalign or just patience. Not every crooked tooth needs treatment, and we won’t pretend otherwise.
