Dr. Weatherwax’s specialty

Dentures that fit comfortably and look natural.

Removable prosthodontics — full and partial dentures — is one of Dr. Weatherwax’s favorite areas of practice. The difference between a denture that just works and one that’s actually comfortable comes down to the time and care taken in fitting it.

Full dentures replace all the teeth in an upper or lower arch. Partial dentures replace several missing teeth while clipping onto the natural teeth that remain. Either way, the goal is the same: restore your ability to chew comfortably, speak clearly, and smile without thinking about it.

The fitting process is methodical — that’s how good dentures get made. We take impressions, make detailed bite registrations, choose tooth shape and color with you, try in a wax model so you can see how the smile looks before the lab finishes the work, and adjust again at delivery and follow-up appointments.

Modern dentures look natural, feel stable, and fit far better than the dentures from a generation ago. Implant-retained dentures are another option for patients who want a more secure, less removable solution — we can talk you through whether implants make sense for your case.

Dentures need ongoing care. Tissue under a denture changes shape over time, and even the best-fitting denture eventually needs to be relined or remade. Routine recall visits keep your fit comfortable and your underlying bone healthy.
